When 14-year-old Viktor Bevanda sits down at his easel and picks up a pastel, something remarkable happens.
Viktor, who is non-verbal and has autism, has taught himself to be a masterful artist. For the past several years, the Aventura teenager has completed hundreds of skillful drawings.
“I was amazed,” Viktor’s mom Andrea said of the first time she saw her son’s talent. “I was happy he found his way to express himself.”
Viktor’s work has sold as far away as Europe and Australia. Proceeds from sales go to help pay for his therapy sessions.
“[Drawing] is our world,” Andrea said of her son’s passion.
Viktor currently has a following of more than a half million people on TikTok. He spends several days a week working on his art in addition to going to school. “I am very proud,” Andrea said.
